Units 1537 and 7101-2 are both located in a more private and peaceful area of the resort, away from the parking lot and majority of foot traffic. Unit 1537 has a very private jungle view, short walk to the main pool and Happy Talk while 7101/02 has ocean views and a grassy area just outside the lanai. 7101/02 is at the opposite end of the resort from 1537 but keep in mind, the resort is not massive and very walkable. 7101/02 has a slight incline on the way to the main pool but nothing like walking around Disneyland. Keep in mind that if you have trouble walking up a slight hill, you can always call the golf cart shuttle service to come and pick you up.

Both swimming pools (including the lagoon style pool, rated by Fodor’s as one of the Top 10 Resort Pools in the US) and barbecue area are just a short walk away. The resort features 8 tennis courts with an award winning program by Peter Burwash International. From the unit, you are only a 5-10 minute walk to find yourself at Pu’u Poa Beach, shared with the old St. Regis Resort which is under construction to become One Hanalei Bay. Complimentary bell service is available and can provide transport to and from the beach, as well as around the property. Everywhere you walk on the property you will find lush tropical grounds with flowers and greenery as far as the eye can see.

Hanalei Bay Resort is located in a quiet, residential area of Princeville. Just next door on the beach is old St. Regis Resort, which has several dining options available. The new property One Hanalei will be open next year. There are also restaurants located at Pali Ke Kua and the Westin, which are just a short drive away. Just a little further in the car is the Princeville Shopping Center, which is a great place to get your groceries, as well as more dining and shopping options. There is also a gas station and post office located here. The majority of (and greatest variety of) nearby restaurants and shops are in Hanalei and Kilauea.

The resort is near two, top-rated, golf courses. The 27-hole Makai Course is within walking distance of Hanalei Bay Resort and the #1 rated Prince course located at the beautiful Princeville Country Club and Spa is a short drive away. Within a few minutes drive you will find spectacular waterfalls, horseback riding, helicopter rides, zipline adventures, incredible hiking and more. At the entrance to Princeville is the Princeville Shopping Center which includes restaurants, shops, a post office, grocery store, and gas station. Three miles from Princeville is the quaint and beautiful town of Hanalei with its many shops and restaurants, and magnificent Hanalei Bay with miles of sandy beach for surfing, swimming, or just strolling.
